I have a wide assortment of Ridgid tools. All of my cordless tools, except one, are Ridgid. I purchased this drill recently from an Amazon Marketplace seller that goes by the name “Minng88″. They offered the tool new with no charger or battery and delivered it as promised in the condition that they stated (excellent customer service). Since I have plenty of Ridgid chargers and batteries for my other Ridgid cordless tools, it was a great opportunity to get the new auto-shift drill driver to try out. It is GREAT! No more stopping halfway through to change the gear/speed setting. It start out at full speed and as soon as it detected more resistence, it automatically down-shifted to the lower, higher-torque setting to drive home the lag screws that I was driving. Just like the automatic transmission in a car! Really cool! I never hesitate to recommend the Ridgid brand and I certainly recommend the Ridgid Auto-Shift drill/driver!
