  • I have 2 of these already so assume all is well. No problems getting here.

  • Right now I only have the weed trimmer/edger from the 18v line of tools. I am interested in the hedge trimmer, chain saw, and reciprocating saw.

For weed wacking, I am able to do my hold yard once plus the next week, half of the yard on one charge. The other battery seems to almost allow me to do my entire yard. Both came in the box with the tool. I also have a thrid battery in the package still that was a Lowe’s special, buy a tool, get an extra battery free.

I dont like the 9hr charge on the battery. Hence why I bought a dual charger that is supposed to charge them faster, we’ll see.

I will say that Amazon yet again pulled this list price from Fantasy Land. I have been looking everywhere lately for the best deal on new/refurbed 18v B&D tools, and of course for good deals on batteries. Even B&D sells the 18v battery for 36 USD online. The average price on store shelves that I have found (Lowes/Menards/Sears/Kmart) is 32-34 USD.

  • I can buy a new Grass Hog for another $10 complete with a new battery. The batteries I have only lasted a year. This is not very economical. Think i will try a better manufacture of grass cutter.

  • I’ve used the 18-volt batteries for my lawn tools for 2 years now. They are losing their charge. I have two batteries for my edger-trimmer and both of them may get through 30 minutes of weeding and edging. That just isn’t cutting it. I’m fed up with them and am going to have to go back to my electric tools which I hate too…however you don’t lose power in the middle of a job with an electric or gas powered tool. Love the idea of everything battery powered…but the idea hasn’t worked
