Factory-Reconditioned Bosch 1199VSRK-RT 1/2 Inch Dual Torque Hammer Drill with Carrying Case Packing 8.5 amps of torque power, the Bosch 1/2″ Dual Torque Hammer Drill will plough through any masonry that comes its way. Its compact and ergonomic design feels good in hand for less operator fatigue. A dual mode selector easily converts from rotation to hammer-drill mode. A two-speed gearbox (0-1,100/0-3,000 rpm, and 0-18,000/0-48,000 bpm) lets you adjust the speed and torque for a variety of applications. With a unique cord turret that pivots 35 degrees, you’ll have more freedom to move around. A rotating brush plate provides equal power in forward and reverse, and an integral slip clutch helps minimize wrist-torque. This kit includes 360-degree handle, depth gauge, and case.
Customer Review: Recently bought–hoping for the best
I very recently bought this factory reconditioned 1/2″ hammer drill and have only drilled some minor pieces of wood just to confirm that it works properly (it does). After receiving the drill I read additional Amazon reviews for “new” 1199VSRK 1/2″ drills, and these reviews were not at all favorable (two reviews for the reconditioned version, however, were very positive). The majority of reviewers indicated that their brand new drills failed completely after only very modest use. I’ve decided to hang onto the reconditioned one I bought, because I don’t anticipate using it that often, and sending things back for exchange or refund is a pain. I’m going to keep my fingers crossed that the reconditioned drill I bought lasts a few years. I have many Bosch power tools and have never seen such bad reviews for any of their tools. Maybe in the reconditioning process Bosch has been able to cure the problems seemingly built in to the new models. Also, next time I’m shopping for a reconditioned tool I’ll be sure to read the reviews for the “brand new” version of the same tool. Here’s hoping for the best. . . .
